This piece commissioned by the Atlanta Ballet was inspired by immersive music tracks and a choreography centred around mental health and identity. Dr Rainbow, the lead, interacted with 7 company dancers, each representing a fragment of herself. The costumes were designed to represent each dancer as a unique entity, characterised by its own personality trait. A challenging aspect of the design was creating tailored-looking tailcoats adapted to intensive performance and movement. The overall costumes remained cohesive as a group, and hints of each rainbow colour were present in the tail linings, socks, and buttons.
