This project readaptation of Angela Carter's The Lady of the House of Love intents to explore the narrative through a visual performance-led film and to tell this particular story through mixed animated and filmed footage. Drawing the line between fiction and reality, this juxtaposed short film is meant to briefly immerse the viewer into the main character's irrational world.

Angela Carter's story portrays a vampire Countess, trapped in an unasked- for and seemingly irrevocable destiny. Forever alone in her haunted house, she constantly picks the same tarot cards, everyday revealing the same pattern. Disinterested, bored and faithless of a prospective change, she sits in her dark mansion accepting her condition... frozen in time, stuck in eternity. Until one night, she picks the card of The Lovers, and an english soldier enters her legendary world to somehow deliver her from this everlasting “curse”. Time has triggered back and the day has been switched on ; the Countess has finally become human, and freed, she vanishes.
